I have always worn NO belt with my jeans and (white) tennis shoes, but my wife says it looks terrible. But, if I were to wear a belt (brown or black), I think they won't look good with my tenny's. I don't want to match the shoes (I mean, WHITE belt... how 1974!!!). What should I do... buy brown tennis shoes? Then what socks do I wear... athletic socks (white again)?
HELP!! and thanks in advance!

Answer
Find a skinny belt about 1 inch in width so it's not noticable.

Why do people throw tennis shoes on the telephone wires?

lewis

The other day I was driving with my daughter and she noticed that in our neighborhood people were throwing tennis shoes on the telephone wires. Why do they do that? Can someone help me explain that to her?

Answer
it's for memories and like ownership
like a location where u can do such n such
n sum people just do t cuz they thnk it's "cool"

They're a bookmark for the fascinating saga known as "street life" - one that has no ending, a lot of drama, and an endless number of characters that come and go. I have heard lots of rumors as to why shoes have been thrown around telephone lines. Some say it denotes that a murder happened in that particular location. I've also heard that it marks the spot where you can buy drugs or turn a trick. It means all of these things and none of these things. It's the only way that people on the streets (whether they live there or just do business there) can tell others where they are or where to meet them without resorting to spray paint. It can also signify that an important event (whether it's bad or good) happened there, sort of like a reminder to the person who threw the shoes up there that something important happened, and until the shoes are taken down, that person will always know exactly WHERE it happened, too. This means it could be a place where a person scored good dope or a place where a person's friend got arrested by the cops for buying dope from an undercover.

Anyone know what the name is for the shoes for kids that can either be tennis shoes or roller skates? The wheels pop down when they want to rollerskate.

Answer
Oh those are cool. All kids love them. Their called heelys.

What makes me hate people who disrespect Aspies more than other disrespects in general?

?

I have Asperger Syndrome myself. I never had a big problem with homophobes or bigot Christians and I would even fool around with that; I'm gay and atheist. But whenever someone has to mention my condition my blood begins to boil. People treat us like the village idiot. A question here "Are all asperger people ugly?' nearly had me to meltdown.

So like I said; I never had an issue with homophobes, but whenever I find someone being rude towards people like us I just want to see their entrails ooze to the floor. I especially hate it when the people who know I have this condition try to justify anything bizarre I do with that! I didn't know average humans aren't bizarre. I didn't know Bjork, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Donald Trump have mental conditions for being "bizarre". People seem to think I am just sick, do they ever think that maybe I am just ARROGANT? Did they ever think I am just ECCENTRIC? Did they ever think I hate tennis shoes because I prefer LEATHER DRESS SHOES? Do people have to think I'm shy only because I ONLY SPEAK WHEN I HAVE SOMETHING TO SAY? Did they ever think that I hardly have friends because I think MOST PEOPLE BORINGLY ORDINARY? Yet I stay to myself, and I have to hear the feces out of their mouths.

F**k both!
I also hate it when people expect me to be bright. I was a bright child; but I can assure you my 99 IQ is nothing to brag about.

This user was the one who provoked my fury just now. Look how sick and obsessed he is with this.

Answer
The problem is that the majority of the human race is stupid, this means they're not worth worrying about and their opinions are worthless.

I have Aspergers too, I'm quite used to it and it doesn't bother me. Obviously I can't do much about stupid kids writing this sort of thing on the internet but I don't care. I know that I'm a talented and respected engineer, they're just spotty kids so who cares what they think? Of course though if anyone was to say this sort of thing to my face I suppose that I could always educate them about why they shouldn't say such things with a little extreme violence, they'd certainly think twice before trying it again.

I think the belief that people with Aspergers are all highly intelligent is a result of the fact that when we have a technical problem to work out most of us won't let it go until we've worked it out, trying to get us to give up is like trying to take a bone from a rottweiler. If I don't understand something then rather than giving up like most people I'll study it until I do understand it, no matter how unimportant it is.

Edit: I've reported every one of his questions or answers which count as offensive, they've all been deleted. He will be getting a load of violation notices in his email inbox, he'll only have to do that a couple more times and his Yahoo account will get terminated. Don't let a tosser like that wind you up.

What is the interview process like for a camp counselor position?

Alexis R

I have an interview tomorrow morning at a summer camp. Does anyone know what I can expect from the interview for the camp counselor. I was told that it is going to be a group interview, they told us to wear jeans shirt, and tennis shoes. I am a bit nervous of not knowing what to expect. Im sure they are proably going to ask us question, so that they can get to know us. But do you think they are going have us demonstrate games that we would play with the children?
Thanks

Answer
good for you! I hope you get the job, I'm sure it would be a blast!

They will want to know if you HAVE any experience, I'm sure. Also, that you enjoy working with, and being with, kids.

Are you trained in any first aid? CPR, lifeguard, etc?

They will want to know that YOU are healthy and "strong" - taking hikes, etc.

They might have you demonstrate or at least have a general knowledge of "entertaining" kids - whether it's an overnight camp, and you would be "in a cabin with a bunch of them", or that you'd be in charge of a specific activity, like Crafts, Games, etc. might make a difference.

Yes, they might want to know if you know any specific games or activities to play with kids, to "use up" some free minutes in the day?

I do know some very specific excellent games for kids, at camp, one of them especially perfect for hot days, when the kids shouldn't be TOO active in high temperatures, but quietly sitting in the shade - and the kids LOVE it - - email me if you'd like to know - - my id at yahoo dot com

you will be in charge of keeping tabs on all of your charges, you may have to come up with an original way to identify them, (unusual or crafty name tags, a special "roll call" game, etc)
You will also want to implement some kind of "buddy system" with your group of kids, so that they are ALWAYS together, and that you know where every one of them is at, at all times.

Whatever activities are planned, as part of the camp's day, you will have to learn the layout of the camp, how to get from one place to another, obviously, what the meal schedules are, etc. as well as dealing with homesickness, sadness, and "left-outed-ness".

good luck
