what is the best exercise to stabilize the knee?

Answer
Forty-two percent of all overuse injuries affect the knee joint, and patellofemoral pain syndrome (PFPS), or simply "runner's knee," is the most common overuse injury among runners. It occurs when a mistracking kneecap (patella) irritates the femoral groove in which it rests on the thighbone (femur). Pinpointing a single cause is difficult, says Stephen Pribut, DPM, a sports podiatrist who specializes in running injuries. It could be a biomechanical problem--the patella may be larger on the outside than it is on the inside, it may sit too high in the femoral groove, or it may dislocate easily. Also, worn cartilage in the knee joint reduces shock absorption, high-arched feet provide less cushioning, and flat feet or knees that turn in or out excessively can pull the patella sideways. There are also muscular causes. Tight hamstring and calf muscles put pressure on the knee, and weak quadriceps muscles can cause the patella to track out of alignment. Just the repetitive force of a normal running stride alone can be enough to provoke an attack.

PFPS can affect one or both knees. It strikes mostly younger, recreational runners and twice as many women as men, according to the British Journal of Sports Medicine. (Women tend to have wider hips, resulting in a greater angling of the thighbone to the knee, which puts the kneecap under more stress.)

Symptoms include tenderness behind or around the patella, usually toward its center. You may feel pain toward the back of the knee, a sense of cracking or that the knee's giving out. Steps, hills, and uneven terrain can aggravate PFPS.

To prevent PFPS, run on softer surfaces, keep mileage increases less than 10 percent per week, and gradually increase hill work in your program. Visit a specialty running shop to make sure you're wearing the proper shoes for your foot type and gait. Also, strengthening your quadriceps will improve patellar tracking, and stretching your hamstrings and calves will prevent overpronation. (Try the exercises below from Pribut.)

At the first sign of pain, cut back your mileage. The sooner you lessen the knee's workload, the faster healing begins, says Pribut. Avoid knee-bending activities, canted surfaces, and downward stairs and slopes until the pain subsides. As you rebuild mileage, use a smaller stride on hills. Consider orthotics if new shoes don't fix the problem. "If your feet have good form, your knees will follow," says Pribut. See a doctor if the pain persists, to rule out another condition.

Doctor's Orders

Work these moves into your routine to help prevent runner's knee

Hamstring Stretch: Stand in front of a chair, bench, or high step and place your left heel on it. Keep your back straight and lean forward from the hips until you feel a stretch down the back of the leg. Hold for 30 to 60 seconds, switch sides, and repeat. Perform two or three stretches per leg.

Straight Leg Lifts: Lie down, bend your left knee, and plant your left foot on the ground. Take two to four seconds to raise and lower your right leg (30 to 60 degrees), keeping the knee relatively straight with a slight bend. Do 10 repetitions, switch legs, and repeat the sequence to complete one set. Work up to 10 sets of 10 reps each.

What are the BEST Women's NIKE SHOES for RUNNING????????????????????????????????????????

.

I've heard bad things about Nike Shox. And I don't know whether I should choose Air of whatever other kind they have. I have an ideal foot shape. Not too flat, and not too much arch.

Which would you suggest?

Are these any good? If you have more suggestions, please tell me the name of the shoe, and I will search it.

Answer
Ideally you should go to a running shop & have the staff assess what type of foot you have (ie. neutral or overpronating). Or, stand with your feet about shoulder width apart & keeping your feet flat on the floor band your knees (get a friend to look). If your arches collapse when you do this, go for a pronation shoe; if not, neutral.

A few shoes are listed below

Neutral shoes:
Nike Pegasus (v. popular shoe)
Nike Percept (similar but more cushioning)
Nike Zoom Marathoner or Nike Mayfly (lightweight racing shoes)

Overpronation shoes:
Nike Perseus (overpronation version of pegasus)
Nike Air Structure Triax

As for Nike Shox, they look good but theyre basically a fashion shoe & far from ideal for a runner.

Where can I get athletic shoes for flat feet?

Josh Schae

I have recently become a constant runner and I feel I could last longer if I just had shoes that better fit my feet. I have flat feet since I grew up in Hawaii and only wore rubber slippers. So what kind of shoes would be best for me? Where can I get them? And I would prefer shoes under $60 if possible.
Thanks for that informative answer, but I am more looking for specific brands of shoes to look into.

Answer
Best way:

1. Do a simple search of sports shoe shops in YOUR AREA
2. Call the top 5 to establish if they have a camera / filming service which will shoot you while you run to analyze your gait. This is VERY important because the wrong shoe can actually cause more damage if it goes "against" your gait.
3. Buy the appropriate shoe....

I did this because I have pronounced pronation of the foot. This system really worked for me and now I'm not only faster but have less pain from those seriously long hauls!

Happy running.

best running shoes of 2012 image

Allison

I am a 13 year old girl that is moderately active. I weigh about 95 LBS. if that makes a difference, I run in 5ks and run about 6-7 miles a week. I started seriously running in August of 2012, and have loved it ever since. I have under pronating arches on my feet (high arches). I also do pointe (ballet) and regular dance so my feet are pretty ugly from that. I also play volleyball and are planning to do track. I run on pavement, but sometimes the 5ks are on trails. I had under armor running shoes, but they are seriously lacking cushion and stability. So, the question is: I need new tennis shoes, and based on the information above do you have any suggestions on running shoes I should get? My price range is about $80-$120, but there is room for increases. I would prefer Asics, but I am open to any brands. Thanks for reading this!!!

Answer
Personally, I dislike Nike shoes since they are kinda expensive and they seem rather flashy. :/
But, like Chloe was saying, Asics, Brooks, and Nike are the better and more popular brands out there. From what I have seen of people participating in Track/Cross Country, this is what they generally wear.

If you can, it helps to go to a store that is able to analyze the shoe that is best for you in the store itself. Some stores have treadmills where they analyze your pronation and from that, they go through their selections and find shoes that are best. I think that this would be the best route, being that they will be able to find what is best for you in store.

Price wise, most shoes are within that price range, with only the extremely nice ones being + $120

Good luck (:

What is the best and newest nike running shoe out there for men? like free runs?

Bob

Let's just put it this way: I do not want to buy a nike running shoe that came out in 2012.

Answer
That certainly should not be the way you choose your footwear. The flashiest shoes might not fit you correctly and you will only succeed in injuring yourself somewhere along the season. In addition Nike shoes generally are not regarded as a good performance shoe company for running. I suggest Asics, Brooks, or Oasis.

I have pretty bad feet and I'm only in high school. I think I walk on the outside of my foot, which is probably a bad thing...high arches, bunions, and I think bunionettes. Is there a specific kind of running shoe that I should get? My current running shoes (New Balance) make my ankles hurt when I run.

Answer
Asics are great running shoes! I run track and cross country and they were super good shoes. Those are what I bought last year I bought pumas for this year they were like $110 and shoe guy said they were awsomes shoes. The asics were $120. But I dont have any bunyans or stuff like that so maybe you need something else. So talk to a shoe salesman.

what are the best running shoes when you have a bunion?

not what w

i really need to find a way to cut back on the pain. it recently started huting more and more. like a throbbing pain. are there any ideas on the best type running shoes or does anyone have an idea on how to cut back on the pain?

Answer
This sneaker is said to be good: New Balance 833

"They have a generously round toe box, no elements to bother a bunion, and come in widths. They are very flexible and lightweight, yet with plenty of cushioning to see you through distances from 10K through the marathon."

For treatments here are some ideas: SILOPAD⢠GEL BUNION
-http://www.supportsusa.com/ankle/silipos/bunion.htm

Most bunions can be treated at home. In some cases surgery is considered.

Nonsurgical treatment
-Nonsurgical treatment usually is used to decrease pressure on the big toe and relieve pain. Treatment includes:

* Wearing roomy shoes that have wide and deep toe boxes (the area that surrounds the toes), low or flat heels, and good arch supports. Avoid tight, narrow, or high-heeled shoes that put pressure on the big toe joint. For more information, see:

Finding the right footwear for your foot problem.
* Using bunion pads, arch supports, or custom-made supports (orthotics) placed just behind the big toe joint on the bottom of your foot. They can help redistribute your weight while walking and take pressure off your big toe. Ask your health professional to help you choose the right kind of pads.

* Using moleskin or felt patches over or around pressure areas to protect the bunion from being rubbed by your shoes.

* Taking nonprescription medication to relieve pain and reduce swelling. Examples include acetaminophen (such as Tylenol) and nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), such as ibuprofen or aspirin. If you have other health conditions, such as diabetes, peripheral arterial disease, or gastrointestinal problems such as gastritis or gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), talk to your health professional about which pain reliever is best for you.

* Using ice to relieve pain and reduce swelling. Apply ice to the joint for 10 to 15 minutes at a time, once or twice an hour as needed. Elevate your foot so that your toe is higher than your heart.

If your bunions are severe, your health professional may prescribe medication to reduce pain and inflammation, such as a corticosteroid injection.

Surgical treatment
-If nonsurgical treatment has failed to relieve toe pain and you aren't able to do normal daily activities, or if you have a severe bone deformity, you may want to consider surgical treatment. Bunion surgery is done to help restore normal alignment to the toe joint and relieve pain. For information on making the decision about surgery, see:

Should I have surgery for bunions?
-There are different types of bunion surgeryâthe best type of surgery for you depends on how severe your bunion is and your surgeon's experience. Look for a surgeon who does many different types of bunion surgery on a regular basis. Each bunion is different, and surgery needs to be tailored to each case.

Prevent another bunion. Good luck!

Answer
Would need to know your particular needs to make a decision. Go to a running shoe store and say you want running shoes, period. They should have you run in a shoe to see how you run, which would indicate what type of shoe you need. Once they have an idea of what you need they should pull out several models and have you try them for comfort, have you put both pairs on and jog around the store or in the street to see which you like best. They should be half a size to a full size larger than your street shoes. If you go to a shoe store and they don't ask to see you run first thing to get an idea of your needs, find another store.
Good luck!

Hair removal surgery-how much, safe, effective, and proven? side effects?

Rodney

Please do not read this if you are easily offended:

Since I started growing body hair as a teenager I have always shaved the following areas:
Chest, stomach, lower back, butt cheeks, pubic hair, and armpits.
Like any man who shaves every day I will wake up every day and shave my face, no complaints like I'm some prince or something.
I also will manually shave my arm pits and pubic hairs regularly.

Yet, shaving the chest, stomach, lower back and butt cheeks, becomes time consuming.
I lift, run, and diet regularly. If I didn't I would put on weight, which I have, but worked hard to lose it and work extremely hard to keep it off. Plus the hard work of a not-so-fun diet. And going to the gym for an hour a day 6 days a week is worth it. I will not do steroids or get surgery for fitness. Yet, shaving all of those areas regularly (daily, every other day, or even twice a week bc a little doesn't look so bad) becomes very time consuming. It's time that could be used taking care of responsibilities, enjoying hobbies, studying, applying for better jobs, etc.

It's been several years and I still feel this way. Some warn (like a tattoo) that you really have to be sure you want to do this because you can not go back. It's been several years and each day I would love to wake up, shower, shave my face, change, live my life, and go to sleep, with a smooth beautiful smooth body. Feels a bit feminine (no offense ladies) and more like a job than a normal part of life (IE tying your shoes, showering, changing) since I'm so into it.

Anyone who has had laser hair removal surgery, knows someone who has, is knowledgeable with this, knows stories, etc. your help is greatly appreciated. 4 years ago I went to such a doctor and they told me it would be six surgeries over 4 months but that it's completely safe. Lasers and bodies though, it could be like tanning, it seemed "safe as long as you wear sunscreen" but look at how many people have developed cancer from tanning beds. This could be like that too and I wouldn't want to be a statistic. Nor would I risk a disease for this. Yet many have gotten laser eye surgery and have been okay. hope it is permanent and can be proven. (would hate in years for it to grow back and throw all those thousands away)

So questions- how safe is it?? how likely is scarring and/or skin discoloration? what are the prices now?? (in 2008 it was $2000 per area) In 2013 are there "one time laser hair removal surgeries"?
All comments are appreciated, please be honest AND supportive of the person, even if against the act. Please all answers respectful and kind, fair is fine but please not insulting.

Answer
Concerning the safety of laser hair removal, I'd say it's not as risky as it used to be. Just make sure to go to someone who is licensed to use whichever particular laser system they are operating. Also I wouldn't call it "surgery" anymore, it's not very invasive or really painful at all.

how likely is scarring and/or skin discoloration? This depends on your skin-tone and whether you hyper-pigment or hypo-pigment when you scar. There is a limitation when it comes to darker skin-tones because the laser goes after the darker matter, and you want that to be the hair follicle - not your skin cells. The lighter your skin and the darker your hair the better when it comes to laser hair removal.

what are the prices now? This varies on where you get it done. I know the place I go charges $50 for one treatment and offers a package of 6 treatments for around $300 for your back. So it's even cheaper for the smaller areas

Personally I love laser hair removal, it has made me very happy! good luck with whatever you chose!

What kind of running shoes should I get for running on a treadmill?

hello.

I got a treadmill for christmas and need new running shoes. Today I am going to go purchase some, but what kind are good for running on a treadmill?

Going to Olympia Sports or Sports Authority if that matters.

Answer
You should go to a good running store and have them analyze your gait, if you pronate or not, etc. A good qualified running store should be able to give you the right shoe for your run style. Every BODY is different and there is no easy answer to this. I have personally found -- after years of trial and error -- that Saucony Hurricane works for me. Also, always buy one size bigger in a running shoe. If you wear a size seven, get a size eight in running shoe. This will help reduce blisters and loss of toenails!

What's the difference between trail-running shoes and running shoes?

Vitavetave

I'm on a tight budget right now and the cheapest quality running shoes I came across were trail-running shoes. I usually run on cement, so would this be a bad investment?

Answer
They can be heavier, more stable, have more aggressive tread, and usually have less cushioning. Some transition to roads better than others. Some incorporate quality waterproofing.

Cement is the hardest surface on which you can run -- you'll often want more cushioning than the average trail shoe provides.

When it comes to running shoes, it's more important to find the right shoe(s) for you than just the cheapest shoe in the short-term. If you have to buy other shoes, get injured, etc., what's the cheapest shoe right now will not still be the cheapest shoe in a month or two.

I'd try to find the right shoe options for you while ignoring price a bit more, and then spend time shopping around, finding sales or coupons, older models, etc., if you need to.

I just need to know cause I buy shoes offline alot. An I'm also a male so yeaa just dont want no women sizes cause my name is sky or skylar so yeaa thanks!

Answer
Depending on the style of shoe Adidas and Reebok run true to size. But have noticed that Adidas casual shoes(ie Shelltoes, Superstars 2) run somewhat big sometimes half-size up. But going with a runner or basketball shoes should be Ok to go with normal size. Nike Sportswear (Air Max 95, Command, LTD's) line does run half-size small.

I am doing the Breast Cancer 3-Day and want to know how soon I should break my shoes in before the walk but I don't want to wear them out before the walk either.

Answer
Depends on how comfortable and how well the shoes fit to begin with. I would wear them for a few hours everyday for at least a week. Wear some thick socks for the 3-Day walk and always have band aides on hand just in case. Really nice that you are participating in such a worthwhile cause....thank you and have fun!

How to wear out/down shoes in 3 days?

Ally

I am going hiking in 3 days and I've just recently bought my hiking shoes and I haven't wore them yet. I need to wear them out before I hike so I don't get blisters. I know It was stupid of me to not wear them -.- (I have a pair of Hi-Tecs)

Answer
You would need to start walking around in them now and the problem with that is you would just get the blisters before you went on the hike. I suggest you bring what you need to deal with blisters with you on the hike and tape the tender parts prior to starting (which you should be familiar with from walking around in them now).

I want to buy a pair of women's "barefoot" style running shoes. However, I don't want the vibram five fingers or Adidas adipure, or others that have the toes cut out. Not only do they look a little strange, but I want to be able to wear socks with them. The only ones that I have found much information on are the Merrell Pace Gloves, which have the vibram sole. Does anyone know whether those are any good? Also, are there any other shoes that are considered barefoot running shoes and don't have the toes?

Answer
Go with the Merrell Dash Glove. I love the men's version, Road Glove.

Alternative, depending on what stage of transitioning you're at, Altra Intuition.

You can run barefoot for short distances to start with. Walk barefoot as much as you can. Strengthen your feet first.

Are children's running shoes the same as adult shoes in terms of quality and durability?

Kat K

I'm petite with small feet (a women's size 5, children's size 3.5) and have been shopping around for running shoes. I prefer Asics, but was wondering if the children's versions are the same as adult running shoes in terms of quality. I would like to save the money, but I don't want to compromise on quality, durability and fit.

Answer
Good question.
Within any given brand of running shoe, the quality is the same regardless of the age of the person wearing the shoe.
Think of it this way: Nike is not going to make a high-quality running shoe for adults, only to ruin their good reputation by making junk for the children. Those children grow up to become adult runners, and they will be adults for many more years than they will be children! If Nike wants to keep them as customers, they HAVE to make good shoes for them just as they do for adults.
Your last line says a lot, and it's absolutely right. You should never compromise when it comes to the quality of the shoes you are going to run in. They are your only form of protection when it comes to your feet.
All of my own runners are in training either for marathons or half-marathons, and we often talk about running shoes. Some of them think it's cool to get the ones that look sharp, but then they realize that the only thing that matters is not looks, but results! The "sharpest" running shoe in the world isn't worth a hill of beans if you wind up with sore feet or aching legs after just 3 miles. In short, it pays to get the best shoes.

Good luck, and good running!

So any motion can produce electricity?

best running shoes 1012
 on New Balance 1012 : MR1012MC
best running shoes 1012 image

Am

So, maybe Humans can produce electricity after allâ¦
I remember reading a Q asking if it was possible for a human to wear a suit to produce electricity from what they do everyday (move).

I recently ran across this article yesterdayâ¦
âBob Komarechka, a geologist from Sudbury, Ontario, spends many tedious days in the field lugging rock samples and electrical instruments. Two seemingly unrelated desiresâone for a pair of comfortable gel-cushioned soles, the other for an alternative to frequently changing his instrumentsâ failing batteriesâled to an epiphany.

In May 2001, Komarechka received a U.S. patent for a shoe design that uses the rolling motion of walking to produce a steady flow of electric current. When a person steps forward, fluid is forced out of a sac in the heel through the blades of a small turbine into another sac in the toe, where the fluid is held by a check valve. When the foot rolls onto its toe, the fluid is squirted back through the turbine and into the heel. Both the turbine and a microgenerator are located between the sacs, in the center of the sole, and a socket connects a wire to electrical devices.

Using calculations based on the average personâs weight, Komarechka believes that the shoes could generate a steady three watts of electricityâenough to power a hand-held computer, a GPS device, or a radio, or to continuously recharge batteries.
No prototype exists yet, although Komarechka is waiting for replies from Reebok, Nike, and the U.S. military. âI know I can make it work,â he says. âItâs fairly straightforward.ââ

Source:
http://www.yesmagazine.org/article.asp?ID=1012
So now the question is, is harnessing human movement possible in the future to create energy?

(even if it only powers my rechargeable batteries for my MP3 player Iâll be thrilled! Endless MUSIC!)

Answer
I've heard of this and even seen working prototypes.

I believe that the U.S. military is currently examining this as an option for infantry as it would allow them to carry a lot more tech without having to worry about having alot of weight in batteries.

I truly think it's an awesome idea.

Love as always,

I am thinking about starting running. What are the best (inexpensive) running shoes to start out with? (as far as brand and model)

Answer
excellent idea. nothing is better for your physical and mental health than running :)

i've been running cross country since sophomore year of high school; hundreds and hundreds of miles later, i have been through a few types of shoes.
my favorite has to be Adidas Supernova Sequence 3 GORE-TEX Shoes, but they're around $110

for a cheaper alternative, i would definitely go with Adidas Kanadia TR 3.
amazon has new ones (both men's & women's) for 45 to 50 bucks (which is where i got mine). that may seem expensive, but for as good of a shoe as they are, the price is well worth it. all the customer reviews agree with me as well.

they have minimal fabric & are very light weight (very important for running), have layers of open ventilating mesh that keep your feet cool & dry, extremely comfortable, and minimal padding under the heel, which helps you avoid landing on your heel when you run (running landing on your heel is terrible for your arch, ankles, knees, and back).

the shoe is designed to not weigh down your feet like many shoes do, and encourages your feet to be in the correct position when running (run landing on your toes, always).

they have tons of grip on the bottom, which makes them perfect for running outdoors (be sure to run in the grass outdoors, never on concrete. it's terrible for your feet). the lengthy grip also means they will last forever...hundreds and hundreds of miles.

overall, you will not need another pair of running shoes for a longg time.

p.s. if you're ever running indoors on a treadmill, (once you have the landing-on-toes thing down) always run barefoot (in only socks). it's the best thing you can do for your feet

sorry for the novel; hope it helps!!!

Looking for a good brand of track spikes and long distance tennis shoes.?

Elisabeth

I am a 15 year old female long distance runner in both cross country and track. In track, I run the 800, 1600, and 3600m races. In cross country, I run the 3 mile. Because cross country races tend to have different landscapes (cement, rocks, dirt, and grass), I like to have tennis shoes. In track, I wear spikes. I'm looking for a brand of LIGHTWEIGHT good tennis shoes and LIGHTWEIGHT good track spikes. I don't have any specific feet problems, like a high arch or flat feet. I just want the shoes to be as lightweight as possible and a decent brand.
Thank you!

Answer
For cross country their are certain spikes that are specifically for cross country. Saucony is a good brand for those and all cross country spikes are lightweight. But if you want tennis shoes go with the Adidas shoe that is really light. Just ask the person in the shoe store about the really light Adidas'. For track I would go with the Nike woman's zoom rival 6 MD's. a few of my teammates have the same shoe but for guys and they love them.

What would be my size in Converse if my size is 6?

I'm 13 and my size in Women's is 6. My cousin is planning to buy me a pair there in Japan. Will the size change if I buy a pair of converse? Should I cut the size down? Thanks! ^_^

Answer
Converse tend to run narrow, so be aware of that when you say you are size 6.
However, if you know you are a Converse size 6 then you should be fine.

In Japan, shoes are usually sized by cm (you might be about size 23 in Japan) or by S, M, L.
Because Converse are imported, they usually list the American sizes as well.

With this in mind, your cousin should be able to find you some Converse that fit.

I might recommend ABC Mart as a store that caries many Converse styles.

Where to find clothes for a long legged teen girl?

Rae

We don't shop often, but when we do it's at second-hand stores or at Walmart. Any CHEAP stores?

She is about 5ft 10in tall.

Also she has womens size 13 / mens size 11 feet. Any sho stores?

Answer
Cheap?
You can try http://www.barefoottess.com for shoes.
And try http://www.alloy.com for pants.

Cheap? Is not easy to find when you're a tall girl.

Buy her a couple quality pairs of pants, and some good quality shoes. You'll save more in the long run, and she's probably close to the end of her growing spurt anyway.

I hope this helps.

All My Best,
Jene'

P.S. Help her grow strong and confident, and the clothes she wears won't matter at all: http://www.tall-women-revolt.com/tall-teens.html

Answer
I swear by New Balance - these are the only shoes I will wear - I have had problems with my feet and the podiatrist recommended these to me - I started with 608's but they don't make them any more - I went to be fitted at a new balance store - I'm currently 843's and my feet don't hurt anymore.

What website can I buy shoes from and run in them and still return them?

AnneDrew

I want to buy new running shoes, but I want to be able to run in them and try them out and return them if I don't like them. Is there anyway that I can do this?

Answer
A number of websites will give you free returns, BUT you can't run in things -- you can only try them on.

I'm only aware of roadrunnersports.com being a place that will let you actually run in things and return them within something like 60 days of purchase if unhappy. I believe their return options vary by if you're a member of their VIP club thing or not too (which was only $1.99 annually at last check, but they do automatically renew at a higher rate in a year if you don't cancel). Roadrunner then sanitizes the returned shoes and sell them at a discount out of their stores and at race event booths, etc.

Anyway, I'd look into Roadrunner if you need that. And the VIP thing is usually worth it if you buy running stuff regularly since it gives you a 10% discount, free shipping, special sales, etc. Just confirm how its returns varies with what you'd get by default otherwise....

I'm looking to get back into running. The last time I gave it up was because I couldn't seem to find a shoe that was comfortable enough. I'm not a huge fan of those shoes that say they lower impact, based on looks alone, but if many people find them great for running I would consider. Thank You!

Answer
Asking if there is a best shoe is like asking if there is a best car or bra, it depends on the individual needs. If one shoe was better all the other shoe company's would go out of business.

Go in to a running shoe store and say you want running shoes, period. They would have you run in a shoe to see how you run, which would indicate what type of shoe you need, a stabilization shoe, underpronation or overpronation, etc. Once they have an idea of what you need they should pull out several models and have you try them for comfort, have you put both pairs on and jog around the store to see which you like best. They should be half a size to a full size larger than your street shoes. And thatâs it! If you go to a shoe store and they don't ask to see you run first thing to get an idea of your needs, find another store. Good luck!

What are the best performance stability running shoes for women?
