Best athletic shoes to wear most of the time?

I wanted to try easy tone shoes or shape ups but didn't know if they work well anyone recommend any good athletic shoes?

I ran a lap around my house in shape ups... Man. Im pretty sure they work. Lol.

My husband wears a size 14 shoe and can never find any in stores except for basketball/athletic shoes. All he really wants are just the regular black and white chuck taylors, but even the converse website is useless. Anybody got any suggestions? He's a rockabilly kid at heart, so if you know anywhere he could find shoes to fit his style, that would be awesome.
