What's the best running shoes to buy for cross country?

I need help finding good running shoes, any ideas? please something under 70 dollars.

Running shoes or cross country spikes?

You will need to get running shoes at a running specialty store that will see what shoes are good for your foot. Otherwise you might get injured if you get the wrong shoes. It will be more than 70 dollars, but staying healthy is a lot more important than forking over a little more money.

If you mean XC spikes, lots of girls like Saucony Shay XC and Saucony Kilkenny XC 3. A few good guys shoes would be the Nike Forever XC 2 and adidas Cadence. They would be good, but it depends if the extra width is alright for you. All of those are under 70 bucks.

fast running shoes?

I want a pair of lightweight fast running shoes for my training season before xc running starts. ill be training at about 4-8 miles most days i want a fast light shoe for my TRAINING season and to use them in practice too i already got racer spikes.

i like the 9.5 ounces it it too light or is it a racer or what .....help

9.5 ounces is boarder line for a trainer/racer, you'd be OK to train in them but I wouldn't make them your main training shoe. Just maybe 2 runs a week "tempo or near race pace", they are light enough you could race in as well. Other suggested Asics DS Trainer 13, they are usually around 9.8 to 10.8 ounces and a great shoe as well.

What are some nice serious running shoes?

I run highschool XC and my shoes that ive had for about a year have gone bad and have been hurting my legs. I had some nice sausonys and i loved them and its a prerty good serious shoe. Im looking for something new that is made by a good trusted brand. Also i want a serious running shoe.. I have heard that nike free runs arent a bery serious shie but that could be wrong.... Opinions?

Well, I run in Vibram Five Fingers. You might have seen them before- they are the shoes that have the individual "slots" for your toes. They take about a week to get used to but after that they fell AMAZING!

They help you run with a more natural stride. It really helps with speed, efficiency, and muscle strength. I used to have bad knee and back pain while I ran, but as soon as I started running with Vibrams it all went away and I haven't felt it since! They are amazing, I would highly suggest them! You should atleast try them on in a store.

If you don't want to try Vibrams, I really like Asics as well. They aren't too expensive but they are great for running. They're nice and light, and super comfy! Also, New Balance and Reebok shoes work well, too. Everyone is different.

Depending on the purpose, here are some suggestions. I like the Nike Tri-D Run and the Brooks Adrenaline. For track spikes I like the Asics Hyper LD. For cross country racers I like the Asics Yama XC.
