Can you wear athletic shoes to play football instead of football cleats?

I just can't find football cleats in shoes stores. Can i still play football with athletic shoes instead of cleats? Is that the point of athletic shoes anyway?

No you really cant because of the grass if you wear just shoes you'll slip around and can injure yourself its not worth it. You can try websites like eastbay.com, footballamerica.com, or footlocker.com. there are a lot more sites but those are the ones that come to mind

What kind of degree is needed to design athletic shoes or uniforms? I have looked at both Nike and Adidas websites and they say a degree in a design related program is needed. Which degree would that be, Industrial, Graphic, Fashion?

Most likely Fashion. There are many fashion institutes with very good programs that offer Bachelor degrees.
