I want to go hiking with some friends, I'm composing an e-mail stating that I am packing my fitness shoes but I don't want to sound prehistoric. So, what are we calling them these days?

Trainers
Sneakers
Tennis shoes
I don't have high tops, pumps or kicks (and I'm not really sure what those are anyway).
