What jeans would look good with these shoes?

Jessica

http://shoeceo.com/pic/BigBull_Nike-Air-Max-2012-Women-27s-Running-Shoes-28Black-Blue-29---1-2461-56450.jpg

I want to know what COLOR/SHADE of jeans look best with these. Can you show me a pic.

Thanks!

Answer
I suggest you don't wear colored jeans... how about simple jeans? Not washed, not light.
I would go for dark SKINNY / STRAIGHT jeans, no flare!!!!!

Also, I think athletic shoes look awesome/better with capris. Like dark, skinny, tight jeans & rolled them up a little.

hope i've helped! Answer mine?:

Not a big fan of suede on sneakers. But maybe suede aen't that bad. Idk conflicted

Considering both colors. White gets dirty, but its not like I'm running threw dirt with em. But still :/. Black, didn't like at first but starting to like em more.

Price aren't a thing, Christmas money covers it.

How long does it take to get NikeiD Tennis Shoes?

Q. I ordered my shoes (Nike Free Run 2 iD Womens Running Shoe) on the 4th (6 days ago) and the order status says Confirmed. I need them by the 22nd (11 days away)... When do you think i will get then?
I live in Coppell, TX. (near Dallas).
Thanks!
It's Ground shipping**
And since my order is confirmed, how many more steps until it is shipped and what are they?
Thanks!! :)

Answer
Seeing how you ordered them on Thursday and I'll give them Friday to process and put your package into delivery. Saturday is where they would initial start the delivery, skipping Sunday. ground would take 5-7 business days, so you package technically starts to head towards you on Monday even though they might have taken your package into a truck. So I would probably give them until Friday, Aug 12th until Aug. 16th. I'm sure you will get your package before the 22nd, and don't forget to break the shoes in, if they are needed, as soon as possible.

Another way is that you probably got a confirmation e-mail from UPS/FEDEX/DHL. Use that confirmation code (usually its a long code) to track where your package is. When I was tracking my shoes, it took them about a day to go across 1-3 states.

Answer
How long it is going to take will depend on when Nike actually ships it out and who is shipping it (which will determine where they are shipping from) and the shippers facility relative to Coppell, TX. You may or may not get them (I know that doesn't helP and if you need them for a competition, it is generally not a good idea not to where shoes (or anything else) for the first time when competing. Break them in and get accustomed to them in practice.

mens shoe size compared to womens

Justin B

The other day I was in the mall, and I went in this store to look at these running shoes, and both mens and womens shoes looked identical, anyway they were out of mens and it would take a month to get mine in. But they had a crap load for womens, my shoe size is 11.5 what size would i need to get in womens if i wanted the shoe that badly??

Answer
to get from mens shoes you add a size and a half
i wear a size 6 in womens and i wear a 4 1/2 in mens
you wear an 11 1/2 in mens so you wear a 13 in womens
i hope that helped :)

Where can I get shoes that are my size?

Sabrina

I am 13, and I take a size 11 or 12 Ladies. I have to find shoes that are nice, not like Wal-Marts or something, but nice, like Chucks, or Nikes, or Adidas. I have to get a pair of shoes that I can walk in, and they are stylish, not like those elderly ladies shoes, or something. They also have to be running shoes. I live in Vancouver, Canada, so I have to find them here. I have real trouble finding nice shoes that fit me properly, because my feet are very wide, also, so I cannot have narrow shoes. My feet spill right over.

Thank you.

Sabrina

Answer
Well if you want chucks, nikes, or adidas the solution is very simple... buy them in mens/ mens sizes... yeah you wont have the choice of the girlier pink ones, but other than that so many of those shoes in those brands look the same for guys or girls. You wont have any trouble finding your size in mens...

Question about running shoes and insoles?

MICHAEL H

So.
I ordered a pair of very nice motion controlled shoes, and flat feet insoles..
Can anyone explain HOW well this will help my running/stature/walking?

Answer
Well the running is up to you. The shoes won't instantly get you in to shape but they will help a lot and make sure that you have all the resources you need to run or walk. If you got them custom fitted, they should help you prevent injury and keep your feet comfy.

What is the deal with running shoe manufacturers producing extremely low quality insoles?

Rye-Guy

What is the deal with running shoe manufacturers producing lower and lower quality insoles (sock liners)? Is this their answer to keeping running shoe prices (relatively) low? While shopping through Asics models, even the $130 pair had garbage quality insoles making it mandatory to upgrade to cushioning insoles, typically at $20 a set. What is your take on this issue?

Answer
You're generally expected to put in your own insoles, and most people do to tweak the shoe to their liking.

What comes in the shoe is indeed simply a "sock liner" and not really an insole.

It's simply their recognition that the sock liner they include in the shoe is going to get tossed by 90% of buyers, and they shouldn't waste a lot of resources on it. Its main function is to allow people to try on the shoe and maybe get through an emergency run or two if there's need. It's not meant to last the life of the shoe, and it's not an "insole."

What is the best athletic shoe for an overweight woman?

owl

Any overweight women know of a really comfortable athletic shoe that is good for walking for long periods of time? I'm having trouble finding a comfortable shoe that won't make my feet hurt while walking. And also one that isn't absolutely hideous.

Answer
Try buying shoes in a wider size. Plus size clothing stores like avenue, fashion bug, lane bryant, catherines, catos, ect. Have athletic shoes available in double wide as well. You can also check ebay. I found when I started exercising to lose weight most shoes were actually very comfortable, but after walking my feet leaned to the outside and it was uncomfortable. After buying a decent pair of tennis shoes in a wider size that fixed the problem. I didn't have to buy anything expensive, but you should if you want them to last longer and wear better.

What Athletic Shoe Is Best for Workouts? (women's shoe)?

loveeit

I usually wear my nike cheerleading shoes to workout at the gym, but they aren't the most supportive while running on the treadmill and doing other exercises. Do you have any suggestions for athletic shoes that are:
-Supportive
-Not too clunky (because I always trip on heavy shoes!)
-Possibly have Toning Abilities
Thankyou! I really appreciate it, any brand+model would be good to know:)
I DO NOT WANT SHAPE UPS! haha or any shoes with the obvious toning shape!!!

Answer
This is the info i give many serious runners:
Information about some running shoes and spikes for hardcore runners:
To improve on your endurance, you need to practice running distances about twice as far as your event.

Key for running shoes -

The better the shock absorption is the better the shoe is. Whenever possible, it is best to try them on before a purchase.

An ideal shoe will fit your foot like a slipper. Your running shoes are the key to staying injury free. Knowing how to use them will enhance your speed. You can wear any type of shoe you want for training in. But you should have a second pair of shoes just for racing in.

Oversize Trainers To Improve Your Speed -
The best type of trainer to wear is one that is either a half or full size too large for your feet. Buy a high quality cushion inset sole and place it in the shoe. This gives your feet added shock absorption protection. This could be a big help against Shine Splints. If one foot is longer than the other, buy the trainers based on the longest foot.
Except for hurdlers practicing their hurdle form, use this shoe for all of your running practices, including high speed sections. When you change shoes for races, you will find that your feet feel light and that your race time results are constantly on the speedy end of your speed range.

Shoes For Racing In:
A racing shoe (flats or spikes) that properly fits your foot and used for race purpose only, will enhance your speed. These shoes are normally very light but do not support your feet like trainers. You can make many brands of racing shoes feel very comfortable for use without soaks by placing a thin, soft cushion, flat insole in it. Replace the insoles when they begin to show signs of wear or when they are flat in your impact area. Insoles and arch supports can be bought in some grocery stores. If you use arch supports, place it in your racing shoe too. If one foot is longer than the other, buy this pair of shoes based on the shortest foot. However, if the toes on the longer foot are knuckling up in the shoe, then the shoes are too short - get a longer pair.

Hurdler shoe issue:
Shoes play a huge part of helping a hurdler be fast, especially in the short distance hurdles. This is not practical, but hurdlers need three pairs of track shoes. They need their proper foot fitting racing spikes, they need a pair of proper fitting running shoes for hurdle work practices only and, they need their oversize comfortable running shoes with extra cushion protection for all other running activities.

Wearing Spikes To Train In:
There are times when using spikes in a training section is very important to the athlete. Sprinters, hurdlers, pole vaulters, javelin throwers; long, triple and, high jumpers should wear their spikes when trying to calibrate their steps and starting block position. Once the measurements have been established with your spikes on, take them off and put on your trainers. Use your trainers to find the location of your established starting points. The order of finding your points should be with spikes first and then with trainers, never the other way around. This is because trainers vary too much in size, shape and, length for the same size foot - change your trainers and you change the dimension of your foot. For this group of people, knowing how to find your precise starting points with your racing shoes on, assures you a consistent range of high end results for your discipline.

Women's Running Shoes?

Laura H

I was wondering what is a good pair of running shoes? I am new to the whole running thing and want a pair that is good for newbies like me. Any good brand that any of you have liked or haven't like? My feet blister really easy and would like to have a pair with enough padding to help prevent this. Anyways I would like to keep my shoe purchase to $60 or less. I look forward to your advice and Thank you to all in advance.

Answer
New balance shoes are generally really good for comfort and performance, but if your style conscious then it may not be the best option as they are rather plain.
Nikes are generally a lot more stylish and the comfort and performance is good but they can get quite expensive.
Adidas is a personal favourite of mine but as a guy I am not to sure on the selection for Women when it comes to Adidas

GOOD running shoes for woman?

Hinda

i do alot of intense running and i need some help finding pairs of sneakers that are good for my feet/legs. any advice? please only if you know what your talking about

Answer
Well to every runner there's a different shoe, i can't tell you what shoe will be best for you, but you can if you go to a running shop, or see a peditrist. i recommend going to a running shop, (like dick's sporting goods, or another place like that) and talking to the specialist there, they can usually tell you a good shoe.
What matters in running are the width and the arch of your foot, some shoes have support for high arches, and less for low, or flat feet, all this will factor into a good shoe. As far a brands, nike asics, newbalance, adidas are all good brands, it just depends on the style you want and the arch of your foot.
good luck

What kind of running shoes would you recommend for me?

Clover

I'm 13, about size nine, women's, and I am looking for running shoes. I have some arch, but not too much. Indoor or outdoor, it doesn't really matter to me, but preferably outdoor. More traction is better. I am not a runner, so please put that into consideration when searching. I'm looking for a pair under $50. Under $30 is better. I don't need anything fancy, but good and light for someone like me. Please leave the name of the shoe and try to find a website or a review. Thanks!

Do you really need to spend over $100 to get a good running shoe? What is a pair if I run 7- 10miles/week.?

babylove

I am looking for a good woman's shoe. My feet are on the narrow side and I have high arches. I run on cinder tracks but frequently I run on the road. I don't mind paying extra if it is worth it. So, what is the price range for good running shoes and which brands should I go for?

Answer
Check out department stores in the late fall/early winter. Last year's styles will be on sale to make room for the new models for the upcoming track and field season. You can typically get shoes that would have cost $100 or more last spring for under $50, some as cheap as $25 or $30. If you have a Kohl's near you, its a good place to start.

I typically wear Nike or ASCICS, New Balance are good as well. For the mileage you're running, a pair of running shoes will last you a very long time.

Marathon Shoes?

Ashley M

I am running in the Chicago Marathon in October 2007 and was wondering if any one had good advice for a pair of shoes to train for the marathon as well as run the marathon in oct. thanks.

I am a female with a medium size arch in my foot.

Answer
I used to run alot of 5 to 10 mile distance and ran one marathon. Nike isn't the best running shoe.

Stick with a brand like Saucony or New Balance. They are higher end shoes and have many models made just for running. Also they have better fits as far as arch support, width sizing, etc. And their sales associates are better trained to fit the shoe to you based on what you are doing.

Bottom line for me: The Saucony Grid Fastwitch 2 is the best for women in long distance.

Im a 300 lb male who is trying to lose weight but my lower back hurts after a quarter mile of running?

Nick

Hello. Since my high-school graduation in 2009, I have gained 100 pounds. I weighed 200 lbs then now I weigh 300 lbs. I said enough is enough and signed up for two 5K runs in April. I have started training for them this week.

Every time I start running at the local park, my lower back starts hurting really bad. I have never had back problems before so im guessing its a muscle weakness issue. There is a lot of "baggage" on my core and it seems like the muscles arent strong enough to carry the weight when running.

How can a big guy like me strengthen his core? I do a brisk walk around the park (there is still a little pain when brisk walking, but not as much), since i cant run yet. I'm not giving up. Not this time.

I bought new running shoes, so the shoes arent the problem.

Answer
One of the main things about running is having a good core, this also makes you run faster, stronger and helps reduces injury.
For core work you can do things like, planks, sit ups, push ups, backwards bridge, etc.
doing weights is also a good way to get rid of any excess weight so it will be easier for your body to carry you around whilst running!
Also look at your eating plan as eating healthier can mean you can loose extra unneeded pounds and makes running easier and puts less pressure on your back!

Cheers Scout! :) Good luck!

Should I try minimalist running shoes if I'm a severe overpronator?

Ian W

I currently wear Brooks Adrenaline 11's and have been happy with them overall. They have a good mix of support and are relatively lightweight. I hate motion control shoes because of the weight and even the Adrenalines are heavier than I'd like with me being only 5'8 150 lbs. I'm not a big heel striker as is, but I overpronate pretty badly. Should I look into something like the Saucony Mirage or Guide or should I stick with the Adrenlines which haven't given me any trouble?

Answer
As a fellow overpronator, my first reaction would be to not fix what ain't broke. I wear Asics Kayano 16s (love them), and was fitted in a running store with the 'slightly baby sister' of your shoes, the Trance 10, and have already put in more than 500 miles on them (unlike my Kayanos, which wear out before 300). While I have had ZERO issues with blisters, shin splints, etc., I also am not a fan of the almost clod-like look of the shoe.

I recently purchased a pair of Brooks PureCadence, which I understand is still a stability shoe, though a lot lighter. I have also heard great reviews about Mizuno Wave Elixirs as well. Haven't received the Brooks yet, though I plan to start really slow with the shoe, since minimalist - to me at least - means almost barefoot, which is something that I understand you simply cannot go to without 'downshifting' to a mid-range type of shoe.

Saucony Kinvaras are supposed to be decent 'dropping from heavy stability to light stability' shoes, and I may end up trying those out as well. I know my feet do not do well in neutral shoes, so I know I have to have some stability built into the shoe.

Will this women running shoe fit even though he is a guy ?

Molli

One friend of mine is going to buy new running shoes and he found this pair online -

http://www.sportamore.se/produkt/40977-puma-faas-350-stability-racer-wns-w-lila

Will the shoe fit even though he is a guy?
He will buy the UK 8 in that case with risk of the shoe being too small!

Answer
He has to get a bigger size in that shoe since men's feet is bigger then women's so say he wears a 7 in men then he shouldn't buy a 7 in women he should buy like a 9. Just check to see if it fits him or use a men's to women's feet calculator online

Help with Puma's shoes sizing!?

josie

I've never bought anything from Puma and I find this cute pair of shoes from Puma online.

I normally wear size 5 in women's shoes.

Do they run similar sizing compare to Michael Kors, Coach, Jessica Simpson, and Nine West?

Thanks. I'm very interest in Puma's flats and running shoes.

Answer
Pumas run large by about half to 1 full shoe size! Probably because of all the athlete clients. So you probably want a 4 or 4 1/2. I'd say go with 4 1/2

How to get my almost 1 year old to wear shoes?

mybo

My soon to be 1 year old hates shoes you put them on his feet and he acts like it's the end of the world . HE stands completely still when he has them on also . Hmm which me a Idea to get him to stay in place. J/k j/k anyways how do I get him use to shoes because he wants to walk when he is outside
I have tried 3 different pairs of shoes I will try something softer

Answer
Try something with a very flexible sole, he may not like the feeling of the somewhat stiffer soles that most baby shoes have.

When my oldest was a baby I had a neighbor who had a lot of children, and this is what she told me, she said that most when kids start walking it was best to keep them barefoot most of the time, and when you couldn't, because they were outside or the floor was too cold, to put them in shoes that were almost no shoe, it helps them build their foot muscles.

Cheers

How can I get my 1 year old to wear shoes?

moony

My son is turning one and I have never put shoes on him. I just thought it would be uncomfortable for him. Now that he is about to start walking I want him to start wearing shoes. When I put them on him he screams and cries.
What can I do to make him more comfortable in shoes?
It doesn't matter what kind of shoe, I think he just doesn't like anything on his feet.

Answer
The shoes you are putting on him may not be the best fit, they are prob not the cutest shoes but the best ones for learning how to walk are the white high top lace up ones. They sell them at stride rite you can see them here http://www.striderite.com/jump.jsp?itemType=GATEWAY&itemID=221 or wal-mart or target. Try that and also have his feet sized because maybe they are just not the right fit. I hope that helps.

Best street running shoes ?

Andy

Well I have been getting into running recently and I would like to continue running but, running on the road is killing my knees. I think it may be my shoes. What kind of shoes would you recommend for road running on harsh pavement?

Answer
Running shoes differ as much as each person's running style differs, so no-one can recommend a running shoe for you without knowing a lot more about your running style, weight, and the type of running that you wish to do.

Get along to a reputable running store, and ask them which shoes would suit you best.

Try on as many pairs as it takes for you to find a pair that you are happy with. Some shoes you'll know straight away, others you may need ot wear for a while.

Don't buy discounted shoes, they are almost certainly going to be old stock, and as the mid sole material that forms the cushioning will deteriorate with age, they may not last you very long.

If you start to run regularly, buy a second pair in a month or two, preferably a different brand to your first pair, and wear then alternately. The overall cost will be the same as wearing out a pair and then replacing them, but you'll be less prone to injuries. The slight difference between different brands will also help strengthen your legs, and again reduce the risk of injury.

One last point, try to do some of your running on grass, trails or other soft surfaces, as these will be gentler on the joints of your legs.

And if you know the model number! thanks
Doc says no damge in knees, and it's never over 6 miles at a time.

Answer
Honestly I have found that nike's supports system is not the greatest. Adida's has GREAT shoes, I jog and hike alot. I have the adidas response trail adiprene shoes. I now will only wear adidas when running. They have great support. When I wore my nike's my knee's would give more when running down hill. The adida's really grip the surface. I also know of a brand called 'brooks' shoes. They are an all activity shoe but they have great soles and have a great reputation. They also have brooks athletic shoes as well..My advice would be adidas or brooks. My grandpa wears them and he is VERY active
