Volleyball Shoes?

vballgal8

I was just wanting to know whether there were as an actual difference between "volleyball shoes" and normal trainers, and what that difference could be.
Thanks.

Answer
The major difference in volleyball shoes and running shoes is that running shoes are made for RUNNING. Sure, you may run in volleyball, but the shoes you'd want should have a nice high arch that will allow you to jump high. Volleyball shoes also have better grip on the ground.

It has to do with the support provided by the shoe. Running shoes are made for forward and backward movement and provide cushion for the impacts caused by the foot hitting the ground during running. They do not provide adequate support for lateral movements and for the turns associated with volleyball.

Can you use running shoes for volleyball shoes?
