I have seen the Newton running shoes, which seem phenomenal, however, I am not a constant avid runner. I mix up my activities with walking and the elliptical. However, a few times a week I like to get out and jog, but nothing too hard-core. Basically, I call it a toe-tap. I'm not really lifting my knees and coming down hard. I just like to keep myself moving through the latter half of middle-age and menopause. Could 'you' recommend a running shoe and why?

Answer
The best shoe for you depends so much on fit. One runner with a wide foot and a shallow arch will have a totally different opinion from a narrow footed deep arched runner. Everyone is different. There are hundreds of shoes and what works best for me may not work best for you.
Of the hundreds of shoes, there will be a few that are really good for you

So, this is what you have to do:
You should go to a good running store, even if you have to drive a while to get there. You can use the Runnerâs World Shoe Store Finder to help you find a nearby store.

Some running stores have experts with whom you can make an appointment. They measure your foot to determine itâs size, your arch, and if you over-pronate or not. They ask you about your running and needs to determine which particular shoes might best meet your needs. Then they let you try them all on and run with them on their treadmills. Usually they have a decent return policy, too.

Keep track of your running and buy new shoes every 400 miles or when they look worn out.

Why doesn't the government mandate that insurance companies provide me with running shoes? I might get hurt?

I need comfortable running shoes to be able to run long distances in my own exercise, which is an activity just like sex.

Why doesn't the government mandate that insurance companies provide me with comfortable running shoes?

Running shoes are too expensive, just like contraception is for women who want to sleep around.

Answer
You're not getting what US richclass insurers do...

Proper, modern socialized health care is proffered in every 1st World country -- that is, in every 1st World country except the archaic US. All of these socialist 1st World nations present health care systems ranked higher by WHO than the system in the US -- which is ranked an embarrassingly low 37th in the world. Such socialized health care systems as highly ranked by WHO allow for far less costly health care on top of more and higher benefits.

Much of the exorbitant costliness of US health care is explained by the fact that Americans pay non-producing, non-involved third parties â that is, private insurers â whose only motivations are to earn massive, non-producing profits for US richclass moguls -- and for the only service of providing appointments with health care professionals. With that, consider that people in California pay ten times more for health care than people in Japan, and see the link following: http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=89626309.
