Why Are Running Shoes SO Expensive.?.?

Franois

What's the difference on running shoes and some other NORMAL shoes?

I mean while wearing running shoes you don't ****** run faster.

Answer
Running shoes are more expensive for a number of reasons:

1) There's a high demand for running shoes, running is very popular and people want to invest in a good shoe so companies know that they can get more money out of people. The same goes for basketball shoes, I remember a pair of Jordan's I wanted in Middle school that were over $200! But of course there were tons of kids that bought these b/c they were in at the time.

2) Because of this demand people want shoes that are good/great for them. So companies invest tons of money on the newest and best ideas for shoes and in correlation, they have to charge more for all of that time and money spent invested into the shoe.

* You can find shoes for cheaper!
* The best thing to do is to do some research, find a pair you like that are in your price range and research places like (youtube, yahoo, google, running website, shoe review) find these reviews on the shoes you are interested in and then make a choice.
* Stores pressure you into buying shoes b/c that's their mission!
*Just because one shoe worked for another person doesn't mean it will work for you!

Answer
Go to a running shoe store and say you want running shoes, period. They should have you run in a shoe to see how you run, which would indicate what type of shoe you need as opposed which commercial is more convincing to you or me or anybody. Once they have an idea of what you need they should pull out several models and have you try them for comfort, have you put both pairs on and jog around the store to see which you like best. They should be half a size to a full size larger than your street shoes. If you go to a shoe store and they don't ask to see you run first thing to get an idea of your needs, find another store.
Good luck!
