What running shoe do I pick?

Today I went to try on running shoes. I tried on a mizuno wave creation and really loved the way it felt. But it was expensive, so I decided to think about it.

Tonight I was reading reviews and found that other shoes rated much higher and are cheaper.

So what do I do? This is so frustrating.. over a pair of running shoes!

Ratings do not make any difference to your feet, since they can not read.
Get what feels best to your feet.
What some magazine rates as the best or better shoe is not relevant to you and your feet.

Sometimes I walk a lot at work. So I thought I'd get some Dr. Martens.

Honest opinions and ratings please. 1-10 (10 is really liking them).

They come in 3 colors, brown, black, and wine red. I got these ones:

I heard they run large in size because they are UK sizes. Anybody have these or try them before?

there are a lot nicer looking shoes for walking around work
like the sketchers
