Maam

I just got new running shoes and I love them I am planning to travel and it appears that they are giving me a blister on my heel......what can I do to try and speeed up the "break in new shoes" process...any suggestions would be appreciated!

Answer
BTW are you sure the size is not small and tight than you normally wear cuz sometimes it helps to go a little bit bigger but if the size isn't the factor then you might want to try to break em' in by wearing them around the house too. if you have stairs walk up and down the stairs with them. just keep moving with them on your feet. And soak your feet in warm water to help with the blisters you have already or will develop in the process.

P.S. I lurve some of ur suggestions college student. LOL!

How do i repair the crushed heel of my expensive running shoes?

I bought an expensive pair of new balance running shoes, but the lazy butt I am, I sometimes try to force my foot in the shoe wwithought loosining the laces which has...............

without suprise, caused the fabric to tear in the back, and the plastic has cracked also. Now when I flex the foot, the plastic is now digging into the heel of my foot.

In addition to not being lazy anymore and loosening the laces and not cramming my foot in, any ideas on fixing the broken plastic / fabric? Is there something I can put in front of it, or is there something I can glue in.

thanks

Answer
If you've broken the heel counter of the shoe (the rigid "spine" that supports your heel) there's not much you can do. As stated above, you can use duct tape to cover the fabric, but that spine is a very important part of the structure of the shoe and helps its function. I wouldn't recommend wearing this shoe to run in any more, as you're leaving yourself open to injury as it will allow a lot of movement in your heel and, especially if you're an overpronator, leaves you with less stability in the shoe.

You know this now.. never never never crush that part of the shoe. It's like taking a foot to a friend's spine..
