No shoe stores in my town and i must order over internet. What do you recommend. My feet tend to get swollen so I want a solid shoe with support.

We want to wear comfortable walking shoes and slacks, and will be traveling in May.

May is still a cold time, so you're not likely to wear shorts. Avoid sportswear, baggy slacks, you can have comfortable clothes without it hanging all out. Avoid loud colours, we tend to the bland. Apart from that don't bother too much about looking nerdy, your camera, book guide, and slow pace will give you away, you are here to enjoy the city after all.
