When i was 14 i got pregnant by my sons dad he was 23, he ran thinking he was getting in trouble i guess and never supported me at all until he found me on fbook and met him for the 1st time at 12 1/2 yrs we got together for my sons sake we stayed together until he was 13 (a year) we separated and our son wanted to stay with his dad nd so i completely took care of our son for 12 yrs he has taken care of him for 10 mnths and i still by most all his clothes, shoes, school supplies and think his dad dont need child supporrt cuz he"s got a mom with a substantial trust fund and she ays all his bills such as rent, cable, cell phone, internet he only pays for electric most of the time, he has a full time job making 10.00 an hour nd only pays power and ciggs nd i pay for our sons needs and he gets foodstamps cuz he dont tell them his mom pays everything and i buy everything else our son needs, just need to know if my son can get a check from ssi (the one you get that you never worked before to pay taxes in...the free one) 698 a mnth also if they cn take money out of my ssi for child support and what percentage do they take. ga can only take 25.00 per child.plz help going to court sept 4 2012 and need to know what to tell the judge
ok for the guy who was saying ssi isnt free i know that its just a slang term in the south. I got my ssi before i could pay any taxes in since I got a severe brain injury at 17, I can function well when it comes to taking care of myself and my child , I also had help from my ex husband when our son was growing up (not my sons dad), I had gotten married when i almost reached 18 then divorced after 7 years. I was single again until 2010, when our son was 12 my sons dad found me and we tried to make it work for my son, when he turned 13 we split up , his dad never ever paid support ever. and was 14 when i got pregnant and his dad was 23. thats te best i can write it out sorry im not able to write perfect im disabled

Answer
This is mostly gibberish, but I did catch where you believe SSI is free. You couldn't be more wrong. That comes directly from tax payer dollars. I think most of us are happy to help someone who cannot work due to a disability, but please don't think it is free. We support you.

Now if you want to try to re-write this, using paragraphs and punctuation, I would be pleased to help you review the pertinent laws.

AFTER head gasket repair, my car hesitates, has minimal power, burns oil, and smokes out the tailpipe. Why?

L.

Head gasket was bad causing cylinders to fill-up with coolant. Paid a mechanic who claims he replaced head gasket, cleaned out the sludge, replaced timing belt, spark plugs, cap and rotor. Mechanic returned car saying he needed to adjust the valves and do an oil change. He said smoke WOULD come out of the tailpipe for the first 100 miles due to all the sludge he cleaned out of the engine. I then started the car which idled fast like a race engine. I then drove it on the highway, exited highway and entered the highway which was uphill. The engine hesitated then suddenly 'kicked-in' and smoked fairly bad out the tailpipe. Car consumed gas after this first drive but seems to be consuming as it normally had done BEFORE the blown head gasket. The hesitating progressed each time I drove the car along with loss of power. Occasionally smokes from the tailpipe AFTER driving car a couple of miles SOMETIMES. I've added one (1) quart of oil after driving approximately 60 miles. Coolant levels remain level--doesn't appear to be losing coolant. Mechanic has and continues to AVOID my calls and text messages pleading for his help since he returned my car to me 7-27-12. On 8-9-12, a friend adjusted the FAST idle and told me the timing was way off. On 8-11-12, I found a mechanic who did a compression test and said ALL cylinders tested 'good', ALL at 100 (?) I believe that is what he said. He believes the valve seal(s) are leaking and suggested I continue to drive it to look for employment which I've been unable to do past 8 weeks due to this car issue---I am a single mother with a 3 year old. I've spent almost $1500.00 since 6-2012 and have barely any money to continue paying these mechanics here in Belton, Missouri.
All of this started with a rough idle on a cold start the first 10 seconds then the car ran fine. It has been suggested that I put another engine in which will cost approximately $600.
I do know that I DREAD driving it while it hesitates, has little power, occasionally smokes, sucks LOTS of oil, and just basically makes me cry the entire ride.
ALL suggestions, comments, etc. welcome.
1994 Honda Civic DX (EH2). Engine Type: D15B7: 1500 SOHC 16-valves, multi-point, fuel-injuncton, 100 HP engine, water-cooled, 4-stroke SOHC, gasoline engine, in-line 4-cylinder, transverse mount. Purchased May 1994 with 13 miles on it. Current mileage: 155,320. *as of 8-12-12 @ 2:22 PM CDT, the so-called mechanic who did the blown head gasket repair will NOT answer my calls/text begging for help. He has sent 2 media text messages containing cut-downs, boo-hoo's, etc.
Should I just keep driving this car while it continues to lose power, consumes oil, hesitates accelerating and occasionally smokes out the tailpipe? Is there anything that can be done to run better than it is now?
Anyone have any comments or suggestions? Please

Answer
You forgot to mention what kind of car this is. I'd also like to know how many miles are on it. These symptoms, besides the oil burning, indicate that the timing is off. The mechanic may have installed the belt "one tooth off" and realizes it after your reports of poor performance which is why he is avoiding you. He, at the very least, should bring your car in to check for this at his expense. Any quality mechanic guarantees his work. You may have to get tough with him and threaten to file a suit in small claims court. The oil burning puzzles me. Nothing the mechanic claims to have done should have caused this. Was it burning oil at all before he worked on it? Bad valve guide seals will cause oil burning but the smoke is usually only visible at startup. I know that money is short but were I in your shoes, I would find a reputable mechanic and have a thorough examination done to find out exactly what is causing these problems - and by thorough, I mean just that. He should keep the car overnight so a "leakdown" test can be performed to check the quality of the head gasket job. The engine number should also be checked (sometimes you have to think like a crook) to make sure it is the same one the car had when you brought it to the first mechanic. I would then give the him (the mechanic who changed the head gasket) a chance to make it right. If he refuses or fails in his attempt it's time for small claims court. BTW, there are reviews and listings of reputable, local mechanics here:

Also; Bandit is correct. All of these things are normal procedures during a head gasket job. Furthermore, sometimes it is recommended that the head bolts be replaced as the old ones will stretch. Check your invoice.
