per month roughly

Answer
Hehehe a lot! Here's what happens for us in a month...
Diapers: 6-8 a day x 7= 49x 1 month (4) 196 a month 23.00
(assuming there's no flu bugs or anything)
Formula: $13 a can, 3 cans a week, 12 cans a month: $156.00
Clothing/shoes: we generally need new clothing and shoes every 2-3 months adding up to an average of $30 a week
Medical bills and vaccinations: an average of $75 a month with insurance.
hahaha insurance: $160 a month for the family.
toys: you've always gotta buy a new toy here and there about $10 a month
juice: at 7 months, my son has 4 small bottles of gerber juice a week- 16 bottles a month at 60 cents a bottle = 7.20
baby food: at 7 months my son eats about 2 jars a day at .80 cents a jar so that's close to $45
plus he eats about 1 thing of gerber puffs a week at $2 a can so that's $8 a month
about one box of biter biscuits a month so that's $4
wipes: about 150 wipes a month at an average cost of $7.00
now lets not forget emergencies like medications, etc which you should always allow $50 a month for.
And also baby gear. If there's a shower you'll get a lot of what you need: but a running tally here for a starting cost of things:
Bottles (8) $4.00
Burp rags (12) $13.00
Crib $150.00
Crib mattress $50.00
Car seat $70.00
crib sheets (2 at $4 a piece) $8.00
pacifiers $3.00 (you'll constantly have to buy more of these)
stroller $100.00
receiving blankets (8 @ $6 per 4 pack) $12.00
thick blankets (5 @ $5 each) $20.00
Baby bath tub $10
towels, wash cloths and baby bath products $50
starting up with clothes, onesies, socks, booties, bibs, etc about $200
and not to mention you'll need a bigger car seat around 9-12 months at roughly $70
and the added expenses to utilities for laundry, baths, etc added an extra $30 a month to out electricity and water bills.
child care runs about $150 a week so $600 a month roughly.
for a one bedroom in our old apartment complex the rent was $450 a month. We had to switch to a 2 bedroom in the same complex which cost us $670 a month.
Time off work due to child being sick needs to be factored in. I always figured in two days off a month for a budget. (day cares will not accept children with runny noses or coughs)
And also figure in that day care for infants under 6 months is hard to find. And often costs more.
let's not forget the high chair you'll be needing around 4-5 months old at about $50 and the bouncie seat at birth for $40 and a swing for close to $100, walker for $50.
Those are just the basics.
