Hey, i haven't got any climbing shoes and im going to climb snowdon, it will probably take about 5 hours of walking too, will it be fine? :(

Getting climbing shoes isn't an option as i don't have time, my question is, will it be ok?

Answer
OK, no big problem. Best with walking boots..not climbing boots which are much stiffer....but trainers are fine if the soles are still grippy. It can get wet on Snowdon.....careful of slippy rock.
If you really mean climbing shoes...rock climbing shoes...well, they're not of much use for a walk up Snowdon. There's no rock climbing on the Pyg track or the Llanberis path...it's an uphill walk and then a downhill walk.
I do mountain running in trainers and low cut walking boots. Been up Snowdon maybe fifteen times or so walking or running.
Trainers are popular for mountain running for both men and women.

Take it easy, watch your step and keep your feet dry...the big thing when you're walking is dry feet.
When they get wet the skin softens, tiny rubs get to be damaging rubs and a blister blows up.....
Thin cotton socks with thick woollen socks outside, firm but not tight fitting footwear, and keep dry....no friction then and no blisters.
I used to treat over 300 a day of them on the Njimegan Liberation Marches in Holland...fabulous walking event with military and civilian teams from round the world and enormous parties and Blister Balls. Working all evening and marching next morning.
Four days of Paradise and fun.

I was in a British Army marching team and I was a medic for the British military contingent but we treated all who came to us and for free...that's why they came. Busy old time.
Blisters are not fun. We drained them and filled them with Friars Balsam for the really bad ones for the top competitive teams who had to succeed at any price...honour and pride, a country's ambassadors in sport, the memory of who went before and the reason for the Marches, ...whatever reason, do not fail. Honour with victory those who we remember. And go home with a Nijmegan Cross.
Leave the balsam to get into the skin for a few seconds, drain it out, and put a dressing over it. Agony, and it turns swarthy soldiers into crying wrecks for a few minutes, but they can march the next day...with tanned skin....tanned hide that is, instead of raw skin.
Like tanning leather, but on live raw skin under the blister..
God, it hurts!!
Civvies got gentler treatment.....all TLC and sweet dressings. Met some lovely people, gorgeous girls from around the world...and treated their feet, haha
Take it steady....keep an eye on the weather and eat well. Mountains and hunger go together.
All that fresh air and exercise. Great view though...enjoy it.
