I'm going on a cruise in Australia from Nov. 2- Nov.17, and I have no idea what the weather is like this time of year. We are going to Sydney, Brisbane, Airlie Beach, Townsville, Port Douglas, and Willis Island.

For daytime wear ashore, anything for warm weather basically, temps will be around the mid 20°c to 30°c but you may need some wet weather gear if the monsoons start early. You will need sunscreen as well. On board, during the day, the same as ashore, but at night, conservative style clothing, skirt and top or pants suit for women, trousers and shirt for men. You will need formal wear if there is a formal night on board, and there usually is on the Princess ships, suit and tie for men is acceptable for men if you are using the main dining rooms.
As at Airlie Beach and Port Douglas they use tenders to get ashore, you will need good footwear, like running shoes, definitely not slip ons or high heels.
If , as I believe, you are on the Dawn Princess, I hope you get to see the solar eclipse clearly on the 14th, but make sure you have good eye protection.
Be sure to book your shore excursions now, as they are quite heavily booked and you might miss out if you leave it too late. Just do it on your Cruise Personaliser. Also make sure you have enough money on your credit card when you leave to cover all shore excursions, and any purchases on board.

I'm not sure where you live, I'm from Australia, so the price/shoe might be different. I use Puma - Cell. They come at about $80 - $90
